honor Archbishop Mansell
PLANTSVILLE, CT (03-29-2009) - "He helps to shape our culture . . . he reflects the spirit of Father McGivney," said Bishop William E. Lori of Bridgeport in his remarks to a crowd of 400 gathered for the annual Knights of Columbus Award Dinner held at Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. Referring to Archbishop Henry J. Mansell, Bishop Lori's words were echoed by a host of speakers as the State Council of the Knights presented Archbishop Mansell with the "Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney Award."
