Respect Life Conference held at Holy Angels Church

SOUTH MERIDEN, CT - Most Reverend Christie Macaluso welcomed a filled-to-capacity hall at Holy Angels Church on October 17, 2009, as he introduced Holy Angels' 10th annual state-wide Respect Life Conference. Keynote speaker Reverend Tadeusz Pacholczyk, Ph.D., Director of Education at the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Philadelphia, spoke on "Beginning of Life Issues: In Vitro Fertilization and Assisted Reproductive Technologies and Human Embryos" and "Care and Treatment Decisions for Compromised Patients or Patients at the End of Life."

Workshops were presented by Monsignor Robert Weiss of the Diocese of Bridgeport; Mr. Keith Brilliant, Executive Director of Hope Pregnancy Center, Cheshire; and Sister Mary Anne Linder, FSE, Associate Professor and Director of Field Education at Holy Apostles College and Seminary, Cromwell.
