Catholic Book Store
holds grand re-opening

BLOOMFIELD (04-14-2010) - The Most Reverend Henry J. Mansell offered a prayer of blessing for the Catholic Book Store in its new, expanded location at the Archdiocesan Center at St. Thomas Seminary. After years of service in a downtown Hartford store, the Catholic Book Store moved into a renovated space in the Bloomfield archdiocesan building. The Archbishop blessed the store with these words:

"Bless this Catholic Book Store. We pray, O Lord that all the encounters and work carried out here in your name might promote the work of evangelization and bring abundant blessings upon your people. Grant that the books and religious goods sold here will foster new depths of faith, hope and love in all who come here. May the books, media, works of art and religious objects promote knowledge and love of the faith, holiness of life and serenity of heart in your people."
