Mass honors special wedding anniversaries of 323 couples
HARTFORD (10-17-2010) - Hundreds of family members and friends witnessed parents and grandparents stand to renew their marriage vows at a Cathedral Mass honoring 323 couples who celebrate special anniversaries this year. Archbishop Henry J. Mansell praised the honorees for their years of commitment to each other and commended them for their public witness to marriage "which we must never take for granted, as we must never take life for granted," he said in his homily to the overflowing crowd.
The couples will receive Anniversary Certificates to mark the special occasion.
