Catholic Men's Conference "challenging, inspiring"

WALLINGFORD, CT (10-23-2010) - Over 1,000 men from around the state gathered for the 2010 Connecticut Catholic Men's Conference held at the Oakdale Theater on October 23rd. Comments from men of all ages affirmed the presentations as challenging and inspiring: "he (the speaker) gave me a lot to think about and challenged me to live my faith more fully"; "most inspiring - I felt he was talking directly to me"; "Fr. Calloway's [pictured below with an attendee] talk hit the core of what we men need to hear - very powerful."

Four Connecticut Bishops and several priests joined Archbishop Henry J. Mansell in celebrating the concluding Mass. In his homily, Archbishop Mansell challenged and encourged the men to be exemplary witnesses to their Catholic faith in their families and parishes, and especially in the secular arena.
