Registration for Pilgrimage to March for Life in Washington D.C. on January 23rd is Underway
Hartford, Conn. – (January 12, 2012) The Pro-Life Office of the Archdiocese of Hartford is preparing for the 2012 March for Life on Monday, January 23 in Washington, D.C. Registration for people who want to participate in the march has begun. Various buses will leave from different locations throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford on January 22.
Buses will depart on January 22 from:
Meriden - The Franciscan Life Center, 271 Finch Ave., at 6:30 a.m. Cost is $100 per person. Trip includes: the Vigil Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at 6:30 p.m., and Mass and breakfast with Archbishop Henry J. Mansell on January 23 at 8 a.m. at the Washington Plaza Hotel. Registration is required. Call 203-639-0833. Other meals and hotel accommodations are not included.
Norwich –The Commuter Parking Lot on exit 80 off of Rt. 395 at 9 p.m., followed by a stop in Madison off of Exit 61 on Rt. 95. Cost is $58 for adults, $50 for students. To register call, 860-822-1362. Anyone from the New Haven area interested in going to D.C. should call this number, as well. Meals are not included.
Waterbury – Sacred Heart -Sagrado Corazon Church on Wolcott St. at 11p.m. To register call, 203-757-5213. Cost is $44 for adults and $22 for students. Meals are not included.
Windsor Locks – St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., at 11 p.m. To register call, 860-623-0243. Cost is $45 for adults, and $30 for teenagers. Meals are not included.
On January 22 a Respect for Life Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at at 6:30 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
The following day on January 23, Archbishop Henry J. Mansell will celebrate a Mass at the Washington Plaza Hotel at 8 a.m. in Washington, D.C. followed by a breakfast. Registration is required. Then, a Pro-Life rally is scheduled for noon at the National Mall, and the March for Life will begin at 1:30 p.m. Buses will return to Connecticut after the march.
