Fr. James Manship fights for social justice

Fr. James ManshipRecently, Fr. James Manship of Saint Rose of Lima Church in New Haven was named “Person of the Year” by the New Haven Register and featured in the Hartford Courant for being an advocate in his community for persons who have been racially discriminated against. Archbishop Henry J. Mansell Mansell would also like to recognize him for his noble efforts.
“In his priestly service to the Archdiocese of Hartford over the past thirteen years, Fr. James Manship has demonstrated his relentless commitment toward helping the economically down trodden, those who are racially discriminated against, and others who strive to achieve an education to better themselves. It takes courage to fight for the justice of others, and I commend him for his dedication and compassion. I know that the people whom he serves are grateful for his involvement and pray that they will continue to benefit from the goodness in his heart,” said the Archbishop.
